I found this cormorant asleep while looking for a quiet spot to wait for a kingfisher. Unfortunately, the kingfisher never appeared — and to my regret, I woke the cormorant.

With a true out-of-bed look, it glanced around somewhat bewildered, slowly swimming across the water. The moment reflects the innocence of nature and captures those unexpected, humorous scenes I come across while photographing wildlife.
