On my YouTube channel @jacqhikes, I take you to the Herenduinen in IJmuiden, where I search for deer and roe deer in the wild. During my walk, I discovered a fresh roe deer track and decided to follow it. Not long after, I came face to face with a male and female roe deer.

They were standing among fallen trees and branches, creating a beautiful and natural setting. The roe deer were calmly grooming themselves while occasionally scanning their surroundings. The female even lay down to rest, making the moment feel intimate and peaceful.

These photographs are the result of a successful wildlife search in the Netherlands. They capture the alertness and protectiveness of the male, who keeps a watchful eye over his female. A pure, natural, and rare scene, preserved in images.
