Refund & Returns Policy

At Het Kleine Creatieve Atelier, we take pride in creating and carefully packaging fine art photography products. As many items are produced to order, this policy explains your rights regarding returns, refunds, and cancellations in accordance with European Union and Dutch consumer law.
Right of Withdrawal (EU Customers)
If you are a customer located within the European Union, you generally have the legal right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days after receiving your order, without giving a reason.
However, under EU consumer protection law, this right does not apply to products that are:
- Made to order
- Produced according to customer specifications
- Clearly personalized or customized
- Printed specifically for the customer after purchase
Because many of our fine art photography prints are produced on demand and created specifically for each order, these products are generally excluded from the right of withdrawal and cannot be returned once production has started.
This will be clearly indicated where applicable.
Returns
We accept returns only in the following situations:
- The item arrived damaged during shipping
- You received the wrong product
- The item has a manufacturing defect
- The product significantly differs from what was ordered
If you experience an issue, please contact us within 14 days of delivery.
Please include:
- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Clear photographs of the item and packaging
We reserve the right to assess claims before approving a replacement or refund.
Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders
If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible.
Depending on the situation, we may offer:
- A replacement item
- A repair or correction where applicable
- A partial refund
- A full refund
Photographic evidence may be required before processing your request.
Non-Returnable Products
The following items are non-returnable and non-refundable, unless defective:
- Made-to-order fine art prints
- Customized or personalized products
- Digital photo downloads
- Downloadable digital content after access or download has begun
Under EU law, by purchasing digital downloads, you acknowledge that the delivery begins immediately and that your right of withdrawal may no longer apply once the download starts.
Order Cancellations
Orders may only be cancelled before production begins.
Since many products are created specifically upon order, cancellations may no longer be possible once printing, preparation, or production has started.
Refund Processing
If a refund is approved, it will be issued through the original payment method.
Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear, depending on your payment provider or bank.
Original shipping costs are only refundable where legally required or if the error was caused by us.
