It’s been a little quiet here — sorry about that! I’ve been very busy working on my website and updating my photo collections. On top of that, there have been some festive things happening at home, and of course my day job has kept me occupied as well. So, not much hiking lately.
But I am planning a hike in IJmuiden soon to see and photograph deer. I’ll need to go in the morning, which means finding a free moment with good weather — especially because the lighting conditions are so important for photography.

Onlangs maakte ik een lange, inspirerende wandeling door het prachtige natuurgebied van het PWN in Bakkum 🌲. De route leidde me uiteindelijk naar het strand, waar ik een flink stuk langs de kust heb gelopen 🌊👣.
Tussen het zand en het opspattende zeeschuim vond ik een paar bijzondere stukken wrakhout 🪵 – door weer en water gevormd tot unieke, verweerde vormen. Terwijl ik daar stond, ontstond het idee om van dit hout kleine houtsnijwerken te maken, met mijn nieuwe zakmes als metgezel 🔪.
Zodra ze af zijn, verschijnen ze in de winkel 🛒. Ik hou jullie natuurlijk op de hoogte!
