There’s so much to see — from Exmoor ponies and Scottish Highlanders to robins and even a very chatty jackdaw. I lose my way, find it again, and enjoy every step in between.

Finally — after some really bad weather, we can go hiking again! This time I’m hiking the Duin en Bosch Estate Trail, a 6-kilometer route that takes about 1.5 hours to complete. The highlight of the walk was definitely a woodpecker I spotted along the way!

In this video, Isa and I explore the beautiful forests and dunes of Bergen — the place where I grew up. We wandered through quiet woods, spotted countless mushrooms, dodged falling acorns, and met some tiny forest residents — from ant colonies and ladybugs to giant dragonflies! 🐜🍄🐞
Our trail led us past two serene lakes, offered stunning views of the dunes, and even took us by the artificial ski slope where I spent much of my childhood. ⛷️💚 We also came across a historic stone marker from around 1770, which once replaced older wooden posts — such a cool piece of local history! 🪨✨

I’m sharing the photos from the hike that goes along with the video I posted earlier on YouTube: Today I tested my brand new 60L Naturehike backpack 🎒 — and what a hike it turned out to be! Along the way, I spotted mushrooms everywhere, watched a seal fighting off seagulls over a fish 🐟, and even ran into a group of wild ponies 🐴.
Another epic hike in the books! 💪 I hiked for 4.5 hours and covered 17 km through the stunning PWN nature reserve — a beautiful area with dunes, forest, and beach 🌊🌳🏖️.
